Abstract The involvement of people with lived experience (service participants) is mandatory within UK social work education, although the form this takes varies significantly between organisations. This article outlines final phase a two-year research project focused on understanding mechanisms which support and develop meaningful sustainable in education Higher Education Institution Local Authority Teaching Partnership East England. team worked collaboratively using co-production principles possessed backgrounds. presents findings from qualitative study interviews questionnaires that aimed to deepen concept practice embedding education. Thematic analysis identified dedicated role motivation drive achieve sustained inclusion creative ways was underpinning involvement. alongside opportunities shape diverse relational learning experiences, values reflecting compassionate respectful relationships, power sharing, accompanied by practical resources, can create culture change.
